It really comes down to what your feeding philosophy is.
Dogs really don't eat grain in the wild but they also don't eat kibble, so you have to be comfortable with your choice.
Natural Balance has grain free food. They use potato and sweet potato. Or are you feeding low carbs and very high protein?
A dog who has never had teeth problems does not need a dental diet. Their teeth need to be brushed all the time though.
