Question Bones, Salt, & Hyperactivity

I addressed an issue Gus has with thirst and frequent urination in another YT thread.

I've been watching his food intake over the last couple of weeks to see if his problem is food related, and I'm trying to reduce his eating stuff off the ground outside. I think there might be relationship, but I'm not certain.

About a week ago, I gave Gus his first bully stick. After he chewed it for a while, he became hyperactive and thirsty.

Today my wife boiled some beef soup bones for Gus. He chewed on the bone for a while, and then became hyperactive and thirsty.

With the thirst comes drinking water, followed by urination.

Is this normal? If not, is it the salt? Something else? Any thoughts?
