Nope, NEVER had this problem which the last hoover and that was OLD... like 3-4 years old. The belt was what burnt out on that one and this smell definately is more doggy than burning rubber. |
I guess I confused where the smell is coming from, do you suspect it's from the carpets, or is it coming from the vacuum? Could the vacuum have been a used one, without you knowing it? Very puzzling, don't do anything that might void your warranty with the vacuum, such as using boiling water, I think I would be tempted to return it.
