I'll look for one that says it's a neutraliser but I'm not sure I've seen one. Yesterday I cleaned the carpets using the shampoo that is a neutraliser and used the hoover today all clean and fresh and got the exact same smell.

Would the powder work better than an actual deep clean carpet cleaner?
Nope, NEVER had this problem which the last hoover and that was OLD... like 3-4 years old.

The belt was what burnt out on that one and this smell definately is more doggy than burning rubber.
