Well, here it is the day after my last post and it would appear that I wasn't keeping anyone in suspense. LOL LOL LOL
Anyhow... here is my EMBARASSING story to make you all SMILE or LAUGH YOURSELF SILLY OVER.
It was the night before our Thanksgiving. Last Sunday/early Monday morning.
I had a house full of guests coming the next afternoon. I was up preparing desserts, cleaning the house and chopping things up for dinner. Earlier that afternoon little Ceasar had spit up some foamy white/clear stuff. Not much but enough to cause me some worry. Hubby thought he may have just eaten some grass or something. He wasn't feeling very well, and with me being up so late preparing everything he wasn't sleeping very well. He is used to having me in bed WITH him and Taylor. So I made him a nice warm hot water bottle to comfort him. He LOVED that and snuggled right up to it. I was happy and went back to my preparations for the following day's festivities. LOL Well, at 4:00 am Ceasar came out and ASKED me to PLEASE come to bed. Which I OF COURSE did. I went in and lied down with him. He rolled over for a belly rub. I started to rub and then it happened !!! I FELT a chicken bone IN HIS TUMMY !!!!! OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG !!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. This CAN'T be !!!!!!!! My hubby had just fallen asleep at 2:30 and I didn't want to wake him up. I fretted and worried and looked up some info on the computer trying to come up with a solution. I wrestled with the notion of calling the EMERGENCY Vets office where we had taken Ceasar the other night when he was CHOKING on a chicken bone. I KNEW he couldn't possibly pass that bone I felt in his tummy. I decided to wake hubby up before calling the vet. I told him that I was worried and had felt a chicken bone IN Ceasars tummy. He jumped up and ran to check him. He felt all around and said "Lori, I don't feel anything in there." I said it is right THERE. You can't miss it. I showed him the spot and he then said........ ARE YOU GUYS READY FOR THIS ??? He said that was just his PARTS !!!!! I said then, (now remember that I am extremely, EXTREMELY upset at this point, and just had an hour and 15 minutes of terrible worry thinking Ceasar was looking at surgery or WORSE) So, I said Why does it FEEL like a Chicken bone ??
Hubby says "THAT'S BECAUSE IT IS A BONE." CEASARS BONE !!! I didn't believe him for a minute or so. I said DO YOU PROMISE ME that that is all it is ??? I had convinced myself that Ceasar had another piece of chicken bone stuck in his system. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH Hubby then chuckled at me and assured me that he was a PERFECTLY HEALTHY MALE DOG !!!!!!!!! Oh guys, HOW EMBARASSING is THAT ??? I am so relieved that I didn't call the vet or worse RUSH HIM THERE AGAIN AT 170 KM/H like we had to do just 3 nights before. Can you imagine paying EMERGENCY prices only to find out that I have a healthy MALE dog with MALE parts ???? !!!!! ???? I think that story should be published SOMEWHERE. What a time I have had lately.
Anyhow, our Thanksgiving the next day was the BEST on I have had in a VERY long time. I had SO MUCH to be thankful for and shared that day with both sides of the family. Inlaws as well as my own. Thanks for reading my SCARY/EMBARASSING/HILARIOUS story............ Poor Ceasar. I HAD to apologize to him for being a PERVERT and disturbing him while he was TRYING to get some SLEEP !!!!!!!
