There is quite a bit of information about luxating patellas on YT, you can search for it.

My personal experience is that grade 1 usually doesn't cause any problems for normal weight and activities. However, most breeders will tell you that she should not be bred as this is a hereditary condition.

Your contract with the breeder should have provided for this event. Sometimes it is difficult to diagnose when they are puppies, and it can develop in later years as well.

Try to keep her at a good weight, as the more she weighs, the more stress it puts on the knees. Most dogs don't require surgery. Only your vet can tell you what grade she has (1 to 4).
