Oh no, don't do that anymore. Nutri-cal is simply corn syrup or sugar. It's not for preventing hypoglycemia; it's for helping it once it happens. When low blood sugar occurs, you need something that can raise the blood sugar fast, and Nutri-cal or corn syrup will do this, but every time you give sugar, insulin is produced, and insulin lowers the blood sugar, so if there is no protein given after Nutri-cal, another incidence of hypoglycemia can occur. Nutri-cal could even CAUSE another attack, so don't give it unless they are experiencing some symptoms, it should not used as a preventative.
