It is important for you to try to relax, and be calm. Your guys can sense your feelings. If you are calm, it will help calm them. They will get along, but it will take patience and time. How much time is hard to predict.

Work with them daily, several times daily, if possible, on neutral territory.

If one appears to be the aggressor, a firm NO, and a quick separation might help. Don't over do it though. Try to work in some play, like chasing a ball. Your husband should work with one, and you with the other.

I got my two guys together, and it took about 1 month. Just about what the breeder of the new addition said it would take. My wife didn't think it would be possible for them to get along, and she is now so pleased to see how well they get along.
