To those who have had this experience with this breeder, I feel you should bring a small claims action to Court. There is no way, anyone should get away with this. If she had been willing to try to make things right or even acknowledged that the vets were right, then I would not advocate this.
There is no way to stop a person like this unless we as pet lovers AND consumers take steps to put a stop to this.
Keep all documentation and vet reports, and file a small claims action. Even if you do not win, if this woman has to jump through hoops, then she is going to think twice about continuing this type of breeding/selling. Sounds like she is in it for the money and not for the love and care of the breed.
I work in the Courts here in Calif, and I believe there is a good chance you would win an action and maybe at least recover your outlay of money.
