I agree with Sheryl on this issue since it is also a fact that the toxin adds up in their systems everytime they eat it and the poison affects them even if they never actually get "sick" from it. Chocolate is deadly and I would never knowingly give it to my dog.
I do not even allow them to eat "chocolate flavored" treats because once they know that it tastes good they will be tempted and maybe try to get into some that is put away but within the reach of a smart and clever yorkie.
As always, it is everyone's choice as to what they feed their own dogs.
