The thing that scares me about the Dog Whisperer is that he is not all that big on positive re-enforcement like Victoria is. I read his book and the way he would handle a problem like my Rickles has scared me to death for the dogs he handles. Rickles and I were attacked by a St. Benard (150 lbs - we found out he was on the vicious dog list and we were the second ones he had attacked) it was awful and ever since then Rickles is afraid of all dogs he encounters outside (he has 2 brothers and loves them). In the book there was a case similar to that one and the Dog Whisper said he would bring the dog over and put him in the backyard with his 20 dogs. I believe if someone did that to Rickles it would break his spirit completely and nothing is worth that.
