you've gotten some good advice. We crate trained at first and I was up every 2 hours to let Hot Rod out to potty on pad. Then we got an expen and I was able to put his pad in their with him. We watched him like a hawk and we still had a couple of accidents but not too many. When we figured out his "signals" we were on point and made sure to grab him and place him on the pad and just kept at it until he did his business. We then praised and gave him a treat. The first time he used the pad all by himself, you would have thought we hit the lottery! lol. We praised and praised!
Then we noticed that when he woke up, he would poop so we made sure to take him outside as soon as he came out of his crate and so on. Patience, it will happen. |
