Deegan does this too & it's rather embarassing!!! But it depends - sometimes he does & sometimes he doesn't. It seems like the only times he does is when we see a well mannered dog, (big or small) that doesn't really care that he's there, that's when he flips out barking and yanking on the leash. But if the other dog is acting the same way Deegan is calm... I seriously don't get it - it's like he's offended if another dog doesn't acknowledge that he's there.
The worst part is I don't know how to correct it. I try walking the other way, but he's still turns around and gets me all tangled up watching the other dog.... or I try just sitting there trying to correct him by saying no and give a tug on the leash... I've even tried picking him up and putting him on his back (for submission) & carrying him like a baby, but he still squirms and wriggles around barking his head off. I need Ceasar Milan!!!! |
