Lady has been a diabetic for seven years and I refused to feed her Hills W/D. It's horrible food, full of cheap fillers. No wonder poor Willy can't tolerate it.
They have done a lot of research in the past few years about canine diabetes and found that diabetic dogs do really well on the high protein foods like Innova Evo and Natures Variety Prairie (not raw). Lady has food allergies and rotating through their foods as recommended worked really well. She was much better regulated on the high protein food, too. She's got liver disease now from seizure medications so we've had to switch her diet again unfortunately.
