My boy yorkie had pancreatitis and he has ibd now and pancreatitis over and over can lead to diabetes. The pancreas controls the insulin in the body so they are tied closely together. My boy yorkie also itched like crazy on hills ultra z/d diet. We finally figured out he cannot tolerate white potato which many foods have white potato in it. White potato is inflammatory also and is not good for diabetes. That being said my boy yorkie is not on purina ha and has not had any bouts of vomitting since for 2 years and he was a sick boy for 1 year being hospitalized a few times until we realized the potato was the culprit. Purina ha is a soy hydrolized diet and many dogs with pancreatitis and ibd are doing well on it. Also you may want to join dogpancreatitis@yahoogroups.com as well as a diabetes group to learn more about the two you are dealing with but being that you have the diabetes and pancreas issue i would stay away from carrots, white potato and get to a very basic diet. You may want to give the ha a try as it has definitely worked for my guy - do i think it is the best food in the world no but it works
