Smokey has a very silky coat and it left his hair looking oily and stringy. Chip's hair is looking better today, but yesterday it just looked dry and coarse. I believe he has a cottony coat, because it's different than Smokey's, but his hair doesn't mat at all, so I'm confused. We used it to get burrs out of Chip's hair yesterday and it worked great for that. I just wasn't impressed with the look of it. With my pups hair, I get better results using baby shampoo or my husband's all natural tea tree shampoo. I have yet to find a dog shampoo for them I really like.
