Try stuffing them with crumpled up newspaper-tightly. Then put in a tupperware with more crumpled newspaper, and put a lid on it. Leave it for 48 hours. Then open it, and throw out the paper. The paper should absorb the smell, and the purses shouldn't stink any more.
This works really well on tupperware that smells like fish or garlic-just stuff with newspaper, seal, and leave for 2 days.
