I just bought 2 beautiful, woven SAK purses at an estate sale. The purses are new but came from a smoker's home. I have already washed them with Tide and fabric softener but they still smell like smoke. Do you think dry cleaning would help? What about using vinegar in the rinse cycle or even soaking them in something? How can I remove this horrible smell?? I love the purses but I can't carry them smelling like that.
