Back in '05 I had a really bad allergy attack and lost my voice for 2 long agonizing weeks. On top of that I ended up with a food allergy and broke out in itchy hives all over my body so needless to say, I was miserable. Anyways, my doc gave me Zyrtec and my voice started coming back the next day. Zyrtec clears up the mucous that drip onto your vocal chords that make you lose your voice.
