Mitzy has terrible allergies. I was giving her benedryl with no effects. So I took her to the vet to get a stronger medicine and he said benedryl actually only works on about 30% of dogs with allergies. Mitzy had no side effects but also it didn't help at all. If it helps I'd use it but if not I'd go to the vet
