I hate that when people say that because actually, if they read into the history, Halloween is based on christian beliefs. People have turned it into something completely different than what it really is. As a child, I was allowed to celebrate halloween, but I was only allowed to be something good like a princess or a ballerina or something.

My cousin is born on halloween and we used to live in this little itty bitty "christian" town. Some children were actually not allowed to play with him because he was born on the "devil's day" and he was a "spawn of satan" and all that.
