Do you free feed/ free water him? Maybe if you take away his food at say 8:00 and his water shortly thereafter take him on a super long walk before bed.
But I'm more concerned about the snapping at you and growling. I wouldn't let him near ANY kids b/c a snap at you would be face biting range on a little one, not to mention any little doggies (sorry Oliver). I don't have any great advice on the snapping, but I know if he bites a little one there probably won't be any more discussions on where he should live b/c I know where I live if he bit a small child he'd be euthanized or shot by the police. And I've seen enough children bit in the face to know how traumatizing that is for a child (I'm an ER nurse). Maybe a Gentle Leader head collar? Mine hate them but they definetely don't act aggressively with them on though. You have a tough job ahead of you. Good luck.

Thank you for your advice. We give him food in the morning and he typically eats it all almost right away and thats all he gets for the day but its plenty enough for him sometimes he doesnt though and if he doesnt we leave it there. But we do leave water out for him always. But i think i will tell my boyfriend to def. try the walking thing.

I do refuse to let him around children because my boyfriend left him off of his leash at a party at his house and he ended up jumping and knocking down one of the kids. Granted he just licked the kid but the child was scared to death. Maybe we will try to head collar too, thats a good idea because then he wouldnt eat his leash like he always does.
Thanks again.
