I use "Pooch Pads" and they are great! They last forever (washable). I then put them in a tray. Like a litter pan for cats except these are made for dogs. I get them at Pet Supplies Plus. They are made to use with a doggy litter (no way! It would be everywhere!) This way in the tray, they know they are on the pad and don't get half on and half off.
