You are right in regards to Petsmarts. They are promoting Nutro to the point that they have a representative in the store on a weekly basis with coupons. That is their store brand top of the line pet food and they are pushing it hard. I was very upset to find out that in spite of the recall Petsmart had the nerve to have a person in store to promote the food!!
I am now using Natural Balance from Superpetz and immediately after switching from the Nutro my Yorkie's frequent diarrhea problems stopped. I did not even try to phase in the Natural Balance mixed with the old food. I started on all Natural Balance and no problems with an upset stomach at all.
