Default Has anyone else had trouble interesting their little one in toys?

My little guy is 10 weeks and I've had a very difficult time getting him to want to really play with toys. Sometimes if I have to put him in the playpen to do something where I can't give him my full attention I hear him squeaking them a little, but when it comes time to play with me and the toys he really only wants to chew my hands and feet. It's odd because he goes through phases where he likes them, then he doesn't... he has been on a "doesn't" phase for a while now. Everytime he bites, I give him a toy and tell him "no bite" but he growls at the reprimand! Is there something I could do to get him to really like his toys so that I can use them in our play?
