If there is going to be someone there with him to monitor him 24 hrs then I wouldn't worry about it too much even though I know you will miss him but, if there's not I would as why I couldn't bring him home.
Mollie had to stay 2 nights, of course her's wasn't just a normal spay. But, where I take her to there is someone there 24hrs. It was still hard.
