my 2 cents -- he's so young to be away from his mum and original home, he will need some time to adjust. as long as he's not humping people, I would consider letting him be, and trying to distract him with another toy or play. i think in a few weeks, he will fell secure in his home and you will both get more out of spraying and other training methods. i think he's releasing some stress and anxiety right now, and at 9wks, i wouldn't be comfortable spraying. JMHO
