It's funny, because yorkies are so small many times parents let them get away with "naughty" behavior...however you just need to keep letting her know that YOU are the boss..as you have started doing.......and eventually she'll submit to you. Apparently she thinks she's the pack leader...(probably why she was being naughty with the vet)so as you teach her..that she HAS to mind you...then you'll help her be more submissive and happier! And that naughty behavior will be a thing of the past.
My Daizy, a very submissive little girl...... was awful with the nail clipping...so I just kept at it...same with brushing her....she would try to run EVERY chance she got....With persistance and Patience....now we have NO problems when it comes to nail clipping time...and brushing her each day. She stands very still, lets me do my thing, and I get done with no problem what so ever. I do give her a treat after each nail clip, and brushing...that seemed to give her extra incentive to behave! You might try that too. |
