It totally depends on the dog and how short you go. Loki is super short and to maintain his look he could seriously get cut every 3-4 weeks and I would love it. Sammy is slightly longer and she could go 8 weeks. We compromise and go every 6 weeks but by week 5 Loki looks extremely scruffy
