Did you change foods or anything? It's good that you're keeping a close eye on this bc mucousy stool can quickly turn to worse things in puppies. Hard to say, but he may just have had a quick bug. However, when you say "tummy growling" - do mean more like it is a "squishy, gurgly" sound inside? Bc that can be a concern if it continues. I'd doubt a tiny bit of cheese would cause that much irritation, but it's possible. What are you feeding for food?
