try not to have to give him away things will get better just keep trying and if he no'es that each time he chases a cat he gets wet he will stop, another thing people try and is suposed to work is filling a small tin with stones and shake it each time he goes near the cats they hate that noise and when he doesnt chase them give him a treat for being a goodboy.

Use a glass jar and fill it with pennies. It makes a loud noise. I don't know if it will work on your baby but Nala hates it and if I shake it she can't get out of the room fast enough. Finally she learned to stop whatever she was doing as soon as she saw me pick it up.
