I can personally tell you that in both my girls when they came home they were hurting. I could actually see when their pain meds were wearing off...so if you vet says no pain meds then get another one. I had my tubes tied by lapro and I was in so much pain...mind you I have a high pain threshhold so I can imagine they were in just as much pain.

I am all for the drugs to help their little bodies get a little pain ease. Nothing wrong with it. I too don't believe that they should face the pain so it can keep them immobile.

When you come home they are still a bit out of it from the surgery meds and are a bit quiet but as the night wore on my girls wanted to walk around and just be cuddled and I could see their wincing from their surgical site.
