Hm... this thread is really interesting. I have horrid allergies. I'm very young and just moved out on my own around a year ago. My boyfriend and I bought all of our stuff for our apartment on a whim. I got a Bissel vacuum with the canister and I hate it... HATE IT! We now live in a crappy rental house and I believe it picks up more carpet in the living room than anything else
. I want something new but I feel like since I've only had it a year it's like ?!?! It just seems like it has no suction what so ever and if you have the brushes lowered, they won't spin like they're supposed to - they only spin when it's on the highest setting, therefore I feel like it isn't picking up anything. I want a bag vacuum now
