That is what I was afraid of. They are a property, with no rights. I know that the courts are trying to find a way to accommodate those that truly LOVE their animals, but so far there is no pain and suffering for animals. Had she died..God Forbid, then you would have been able to be compensated for her cost and vet care...so sorry that there is not really a outlet for this. Maybe we need to work with our legislators.
