In the past I got a poodle that was 3 years old. I changed her name. She was fine with it. If you think about it, we have many names for our babies. Mine answer to at least 3-4 different names each because of the nicknames I've given them. I think your baby will be fine. Also, my Oliver know his brother Otis by 2 names. Otis and bubby. Every time I ask hime where bubby or Otis is, he knows to look for Otis.
