I am not located in the US, so I'm not sure if we have DAWN here.. I will look in Ace hardware though, they usually have imported things.

I am CONVINCED my dogs have fleas... my mom was adamant they don't have it.. but she isn't the one sleeping with them. I see them scratching every night, I feel so bad, I KNOW they have fleas. I did buy frontline the other day, but haven't applied it as we went for a vacation like the next day. They probably have ear mites too, but again, my mom just forbids me to call the vet as she thinks I have spent too much money on them.. nevermind that Lulu is her dog I have been cleaning their ears all I can, and applied the ear mites remedy from 8 in 1 - it has pyrethrin - I read up on it and I will see if it helps. It's just not easy to clean Mocha - she just won't let me groom her. I will call the vet if it doesn't go away in maybe 2 weeks.

I did get them on Sergeant's flea preventative about 2 months ago.. that was the only brand that I could get my hands on at the time.

I just bathed Lulu today.. and she has one or two flecks on her skin - reddish brown - definitely flea dirt. I will apply the frontline tomorrow to both of them.

I noticed from the other thread that you're a vet tech.. thank you for sharing your knowledge with us Is there anything else I need to do??
