My other dogs are, shall we say? "taller". I learned a trick from the vet techs, who follow the dogs with a plastic soup ladle (the long handled kitchen ones) that they can swoop in and do a urine catch. Males, obviously, are easier than the girls, but with enough clearance, you can "catch" them, too.

However, the Yorkies are so low to the ground, there's no WAY I can catch urine. Bella practically sits on the ground; Puddie still squats like a girl, not quite as low as Bella, but certainly not high enough to catch.

Does a piddle pad suffice? How do you do it? I know that one of these days they're going to ask me to bring in a sample, and I haven't the foggiest idea how to do it with such a "low" dog????
