Usually they'd just say they were sorry, they didn't mean to say anything bad. My parting comment would be, if you don't mean anything bad, then don't say anything bad.
I find the best thing to say when people are clueless like that is to calmly ask them, Why would you say that? It nearly always shuts them up. |
I LOVE that pic of Annie B - everytime I see it - I smile. I'm so glad she found you - she had a sad start to life, but you made up for it to her!!
