Yes, I agree with this, baby shampoo is gentle on human hair and skin, but dog's hair and skin is more alkaline, and human products are more acidic. Over time the result will be very drying to their hair, and skin. You probably won't notice it if you keep it in a short puppy cut, but if you were to grow the hair out, it would look fried over time. Here's a link that explains the difference in Ph between humans and dogs. Jon-An's Yorkshire Terrier (Shampoo and Conditioner). One thing, you should always use a conditioner, and I've been told that human hair conditioners can be used on dogs because the Ph isn't that different with conditioners. The grooming forum has lots of great recommendations on shampoos, I've been very happy with the products made by Biogroom.
