 Yorkie with the sniffles!
Has anyone else's yorkie ever caught a cold? Spike was at the kennel last weekend and I think he might have picked up a cold there. He is vaccinated for kennel cough, and has been for over a year, and there is no coughing, so I don't think it's that.
My sister, who has two dogs, says that the symptoms are exactly the same as her dog had a few months ago. She took him to the vet, who told her that he simply has a cold, and to keep him warm and well rested.
Other than the sneezing - (he seems to like sneezing all over me!) - he is fine - no lethargy, no coughing, no vomiting, wagging his tail, pees and poops fine, eating and drinking well.
Any ideas? Has anyone had a similar experience? Is there anything I can do to make him more comfortable (Neo Citran for dogs?). How long did your dog's "sniffles" last? |
