I've had a few dogs microchipped in the past, the most recent being my Chihuahua bitch. When I had her done she was just 11 weeks old and teeny but she was absolutely fine. It's a big looking needle so you'd think it'd be painful but I've not met a dog yet whose even noticed when they have it done.

Dont worry, it's not a big deal, and if you ever lose your dog you'll be so relieved you did it!
