Vet Record Flagged I took Gus to the vet.
After the vet examined Gus, she was paging through his record. Gus was on the examining table between us. The vet appeared to jump back. She then pointed to a stamp - MUZZLE - on one of the pages.
When Gus went for neutering, a month prior to the current visit, I was told that he tried to bite the technician. Hence the mark in his record. He never tried to bite anyone in the vet's office before the neutering day, and never after. He must have sensed, likely by my feelings, what was going to happen. I even had trouble controlling him, he was struggling to escape, as I was preparing to hand him to the tech.
An isolated incident, with good reason, yet an indelible mark in his record. Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode when Elaine's dermatology record was flagged, and she couldn't get treatmen.
All went well with the neutering, and I felt so good when the tech handed him back to me later in the day. He was calm, and sleepy. Worst part, after, was the E-collar.
Anyway, a month later, and he is back to normal, but I still feel for his ordeal. |
