 Any YT members in Western Mass?
My baby Dax has a maltese playmate so he's not lonely but I would love to see how he would react to another yorkie and I don't know anyone who has one....
After I got my maltese I kinda wished I had gotten another yorkie (in spite of how hard-headded dax is) because I was reading an article about picking a breed of dog and it said staying with the same sex and/or breed is an advantage because they recognize each other's body language easier.
I can sortof see that because they have different mannerisms and expressions and I wonder if another yorkie would have some that are more similar. They are also very different in personality and I am sure this is at least partly breed related. Dax is Mr intensity...go...go ...go never stop, never give up... tenacious. Darla is Miss just rub my belly and let me lay on you, very soft, laid back, almost timid in a way. Dax will snarl and snap if she tries to eat his food but she will just let him take hers and she's the hungry one lol. When they fight she holds her own but does not guard her food at all.
Anyway sorry this became so long but if anyone live near Greenfield Mass would love to make a play-date with other yorkies. |
