Yea, potty training isn't always easy. I also had to take mine out every hour and a few times at night when he was young. mine kept peeing in his crate as well. And it was only big enough for him to turn around. They say a dog won't go where they eat and sleep, but this is not true in the beginning. I finally started putting his food bowl with a little food in it and he finally did stop going in his crate. The older they get the more their bladder can hold.
How often is he drinking. I don't think he needs to be drinking all the time. But after he does eat and drink you need to take him out as well as every hour.
My baby is now 3 and is potty trained, doesn't even need the crate anymore.
Good Luck!
