I had an Oreck before I got my Dyson Animal. I suspected it was not picking up as it should, it was only a year old, nothing wrong with it. The first time I vac'd my living room with the Dyson, I had to empty the canister twice because of all the hair etc. the Oreck left behind. I would not recommend an Oreck to anyone.
