I'm POSITIVE that it's getting more than the canister vaccum I have now.
Also, I went to the Oreck store to check it out. They dumped a whole box of dog and cat hair on the carpet and rubbed it in. Then they vaccumed it with a Dyson Animal cannister vaccum and then with the Oreck. It was amazing how much the Oreck got up after the Dyon. I asked the guy at the Oreck store about the bag and why it doesn't fill the bag up when my canister is filled up dozens of times while vaccuming my house, and he said it's because the Oreck condenses the fur in the bag. He dumped the hair out of the bag and indeed it was condensed and very compact.
