Some people get this confused, it's not the choking hazard; this can occur with any chew stick, and dogs should always be monitored with any chewing stick; it's the intestinal blockage that concerns some of us, and this will only happen if the product is not 100% digestible. Some products such as Greenies said "99% digestible except for a piece the size of a grain of rice", and these still caused intestinal blockage in some dogs. Since Yorkies' intestines are narrower than bigger dogs, any intestinal blockage would be a concern.
Symptoms of intestinal blockage include reduced or no pooping, loss of appetite, and vomiting, this is a very serious condition.
