Lops tend to be very friendly and docile, they're gorgeous animals.
With regard to dogs, well all the bunnies I've ever had have not stood for an nonsence where dogs are concerned! My last Netherland used to wait eagerly at the end of her hutch which was closest to the back door (while she lived outside for a while) where the dogs (two big Wiemaraners!) would come out in the morning so that if they sniffed at her she could nip their noses! lol Fiesty little things! lol I dont suppose there's any reason though why, if introduced early enough, you couldn't teach the two species to live harmoniously.
Hope this helps! Let us know when you decide which nad then when you get one, wont you?

Thank you for your post!! I think my dogs would be well with a bunny. I really don't want to keep him/her in a cage -- I'd like them to be able to hop around the house (which will be bunny-proofed) and have the dogs to play with while hubby and I are at work.
From your experience, are rabbits hard to take care of? Do they get sick a lot? I know they don't tolerate the heat well, which is fine because I leave the AC on in the summer. Anything else I should be aware of or any pointers and tips you can share with me?
