I don't know if you are interested in a pet sitter. Maybe it might be worth considering. When we leave our animals we have someone who comes in feeds them and plays with them twice a day. They also clean up any accidents, feed the fish, and pick up the mail. We have used Cindy Rogers at For Pets Sake in Tracy and the cost was really reasonable. She probably doesn't go out your way but you might ask at your vets office if they know anybody. Thats how we found Cindy. It worked out great because my babies could stay in their own place and not get stressed out. Also, I didn't have to worry about them being exposed to potentially sick animals. I don't know if this helped but if you will be using a kennel or a pets sitter book early for the holidays as they seem to fill up quickly.
