I think that is how a lot of Loki's fear issues started. I know for sure that he had a bad encounter with a big yellow lab, hence the yellow dog issue, but he was in pain for a long time until we figured out what was wrong with him and got him on meds. Also, the *only* time Sammy has ever snapped at anything she snapped at Loki after he got too close after one of her surgeries. She barks in his face and play growls and stuff, but that's the only time she meanly snapped like that. I would always consider pain issues when it comes to that stuff.
